The Brattleboro Reformer is planning to give out 1,000 backpacks to children in need this upcoming school season. Supplies are limited so pre-registration is requested. In addition to the giveaways, there will be free haircuts, face painting for the kids and financial tips for Mom and Dad, health check-ups, Stay Safe Live Safe talk by local law enforcement, social media safety training.
Some of the items that may be included are: Backpacks, Water bottles, Crayons, Colored pencils, Safe-scissors, Rulers, Notebook paper, Regular pencils, Pencil sharpener, Glue sticks, Pens, and Note Pads.
Students in the following schools/districts and organizations will be beneficiaries of this program:
